Il terzo titolo in serie Metal Slug della SNK, Metal Slug X per la PlayStation è un porting del gioco 1999 coin-op, che a sua volta era una versione migliorata di Metal Slug 2. scegliere tra quattro personaggi, due maschi e due femmine, come si passare da sinistra a destra cercando di distruggere tutto ciò che nel tuo percorso. Lungo il percorso, è possibile salvare gli ostaggi per guadagnare punti e acquisire nuovi power-up di armi.
