Le troisième titre de la série Metal Slug de SNK, Metal Slug X pour la PlayStation est un port du jeu pièce-op 1999, qui lui-même était une version améliorée de Metal Slug 2. Choisissez parmi quatre personnages, deux hommes et deux femmes, comme vous déplacer de gauche à droite en essayant de détruire tout sur votre chemin. En cours de route, vous pouvez sauver des otages pour gagner des points et acquérir de nouveaux power-ups d'armes.
