Le jeu suit le scenario du livre et du film avec toutefois l'ajout de nouvelles scènes pour ajouter de l'action. Dans le jeu, James Bond est par ailleurs équipé de gadgets issus de films suivants comme le jet pack d'Opération tonnerre ou l'Aston Martin DB5 qui apparait la première fois dans Goldfinger. Il est le premier jeu vidéo James Bond à représenter 007 sous les traits de Sean Connery.
