Die dritte Rate in der klassischen Serie von 3D-Kampfspiele für die Playstation, Battle Arena Toshinden 3 fügt neue Charaktere, neue Special Moves und neue Spielmodi der Formel. Ein oder zwei Spieler können in einer Reihe von One-on-one Kämpfe Kopf an Kopf gehen, mit regulären, spezielle und Super bewegt sich der Konkurrenzenergieriegel auf Null klopfen. Charaktere besitzen eine Vielzahl von Waffen, und die Spieler werden mit Schwertern, Sensen, Speere, Pistolen und Fremde Arme neben Eingriff in Hand-auf-Hand bekämpfen werden duellieren.
