Il est le quatrième jeu de la série The Legend of Heroes, et la première dans la série 'Gagharv Trilogy'. Il a été initialement publié en 1996 pour le NEC PC-9801. Cela a été suivi d'une version 1998 pour la PlayStation et une version 1999 pour PC Microsoft Windows.
