Alone in the Dark
En 1924, le peintre Jeremy Hartwood, propriétaire de la fascinante demeure de Derceto située en Louisiane, est retrouvé mort au grenier, après avoir laissé une lettre dans le tiroir secret du piano. Après une enquête rapide, la police conclut au suicide. D'après les déclarations de son fidèle majordome, Jeremy semblait fort tourmenté ces derniers mois. Malgré sa santé précaire, il s'épuisait littéralement à lire et à traduire les anciens manuscrits dont regorge la bibliothèque de Derceto.
