Alphacore, die erste empfindungsfähige Cyber-Organismus der Welt, hat zu misstrauen seiner menschlichen Herren begonnen. Langsam beginnt es zu verbreiten, seine Fähigkeiten in benachbarte Systeme zu erweitern. Mit der Zeit entdeckt die entsetzte menschliche Bevölkerung seine Größe, Alphacore Kontrollen praktisch das gesamte Netzwerk. Da es sich verteidigt, versuchen die Menschen die Kontrolle wiederzuerlangen, sondern Ereignisse plötzlich eskalieren.
