Zoar was produced by Data East in 1982.
Shoot oncoming planes and ground targets using your gun. Land on the air strip for extra points between stages. The game is an X and Z axis vertical shooter.
Zoar is a top view vertical shooter where the screen scrolls upwards constantly over various stages. Your aim is to fly over the surface of a planet and blast and bomb various enemy crafts and ground targets. While you blast and bomb, the enemy will fire their weapons back at you trying to destroy you and if you are hit then you lose one of three lives. After surviving a stage you can touch an air strip to collect bonus points. Two players can play and each player takes it in turns to play when the other player has been killed
