Jikkyou Powerful Pro Yakyuu '96 Kaimakuban is a Baseball game, featuring the nice "pawapurokun", those little chubby baseball players that we find in all the episodes. The gameplay is classic but extremely precise. In attack, you have to position yourself and have a demon timing to manage to place a good kick with the bat. A rectangle is displayed in front of the batter delimiting the area in which the pitcher can place the ball without it being at fault, and a small square, like a sight, shows the place where we are going to hit. At the top of the screen, a "mirror" view shows our batsman from the front and, behind him, the receiver of the opposing team: you have to observe where the latter places his glove to have an idea from where the pitcher will throw . In defense, it will be necessary to run, dive and quickly revive the ball in order to hope to eliminate the opponents who have managed to hit the ball. The game modes offered are the same as the other series but a new mode has arrived, the "success" mode, the principle is to create a "pawapurokun" and guide him during his first years as a baseball player.
