The player controls a Gladiator named Grand Gurianos as he passes through a castle. The direction of the joystick moves the character from left to right and lifts his shield up and down. The three buttons of the game correspond to a high, medium and low attack with the Grand Gurianos sword. Gladiator is composed of four levels. The reward for finishing the game is a fifth step, the "treasure hunt".
