Melpool Land
Another Compile game with good art values, this one has you selecting a character, and fighting another in an arena, trying to run them out of life or knock them off the edge. Control is a little.. coarse, and I generally found it easier to simply rush and knock someone off that battle them in any other manner. You control your character and two little option things, which you send forward to attack with Space. They have indepedent life values and can die, leaving you virtually defenseless.
