Goldmine
Goldmine was written by Ed Hollingshead and published by Continental Software for the Memotech MTX.
Goldmine is a variant of the arcade platform game Bagman. Like the arcade game the player's task is to enter a mine and collect bags of gold and carry them back to a bin at the surface. There are five levels each consisting of three interconnected screens. The screens consist of tunnels, pit-shafts, lift-shafts and ladders and the player can pick up and use pick axes to dig through some barriers. While exploring the mines the player has to avoid ghosts and fireballs since any contact with these will lead to a lost life. A life is also lost when getting hit by a lift or an ore cart, when falling down a shaft and when a certain score hasn't been reached when time runs out. The amount of time left is hidden from the player. Unlike the arcade game, the pick axe can not be used to knock out the enemies.
