ネクタリス：軍の狂気は、本質的に古典的なPCエンジン、軍事狂気の更新版です。メインプロットと元のキャンペーンモードでは、実際にはその由緒あるTG-16バージョンのまっすぐを取りました。 （でも戦闘マップの解像度や音楽は同じです）。古いバージョンがなかったどこでもゲームがちょうど停止しません。表面的には、多角形の戦いの映画製作とフルモーションビデオシーケンスのオプションに追加されます。 （純粋主義者は、2次元配列を使用するオプションを有しており、せっかちは完全にアニメーションをオフにすることができます）。
