You control a shooter that moves left and right and shoots balloons that drop bombs at you. If the bomb misses you, it makes a crater at which point you cannot move past, thereby limiting your movement to avoid bombs.

Space Laser was produced by Taito in 1980. Shoot the laser at the top of the screen before it shoots you. Also, shoot or hide behind the ships moving horizontally across the screen. This is pretty much a clone of Irem's Space Beam which came out in 1979.
