Eternal Melody begins when the player's character was where a buildings is being contructing but an accident happens and some steel fall to the floor, but when he think that he was going to die he realise that he's safe but in a different world where magic reigns and there are 2 forces, one wants to conquer the world (the demons) and other that wants to protect it (the magicians tribe); and the player has to help him to return to his own world. The main gameplay is to train 4 different characters (the player's character and 3 girls that he choose from the 12 different gitls that appear at the beginning) between different female ones, and battle against that force in the meantime, during the game the player's character can also date the girls and maybe at the end of the game one of them will fall in love with him. The battle part takes place when they arrive a dungeon the gameplay changes then to a board game and when they encounter an enemy of one of the other characters that are in that board they got to fight in a first person rpg style, the board finished when one of those characters arrive at the goal of the board. The game features different endings depending of the girls stats and the player choices during the game.
