The game is a mix of adventure and role playing and was one of the first games for the C64 that could be operated with a mouse. Overall, the game consists of 101 different locations and contains four different animated opponents.

The goal of the game is to kill the upper vampire, superwolf, upper zombie, and upper mummy in the role of the four characters, Sharon, Charlie, Susan Leicester, and Abraham Van Halen in an abandoned town called Vertic. To solve the game, the player must solve some puzzles, such as making ammunition for the crossbow or silver cartridges for the gun.
