Wik & The Fable of Souls has you playing as a frog-man named Wik. As Wik you must use your long tongue to swing on trees and catch grubs. Each level requires Wik to catch a certain number of grubs and give them to his mule before he wanders off. But Wik isn't the only creature who likes the grubs. He must fend off flies and bats who also seek them. And then there are the scorpions.

The game includes a story mode and a challenge mode. The story mode takes Wik through the story of the grubs' mystery, and the challenge mode requires the player to make Wik do a variety of tricks to get the grubs to his mule.
