Introduction This walkthrough now covers the entire game. This should at least help those that are stuck at the trouble spots of the game. If you are looking for specific help on a specific area please use the search function (Alt F) and either search for the item or look at your map to put in the name of the location you are in. We do not mind getting emails or IMs if you have a question on information not covered in the walkthrough. However, we dislike when people are too lazy to even find the answer to a question that is clearly answered in the walkthrough and think we will be their personal 24/7 walkthrough answerer for the rest of the game (from where they were stuck at). III. Walkthrough ### Tip ### Best way to take out guards in a room: I recommend before shooting anyone in a room to at least try to figure out if you can sneak up on them in the room and take them down stealthfully. This will help you save on health and ammo. Best way to take out any guards shooting at you: Take cover and hug the wall or object you are hiding behind. Push your Left Analog stick in the direction of the guard and wait until the target stops moving before shooting with X or at least until it crosses over it's mark. You will want to get familiar with this move because it will help you with the gun fights you will encounter. You will also want to crouch when you can to steady your shot faster. Intro Movie(s) *************************** * IV. Jack's HeadQuarters * *************************** ------------------------ Location "Training Area" ------------------------ - Try to use the Checkpoint (Hand Scanner) to your right. - Go to the far side of this building (past the punching bag) and find your IRIS Glasses near the crates on the right. Scene (Note: When moving around always watch where your character may look towards. This will sometimes clue you in on the location of a consoles or item(s) you are looking for is at. At other times the character will also look at totally useless things.) - Climb up the ladder to your left and go to the small ledge where the small Medpack is at. - Go back to the Checkpoint and use it. Scene ***************************** * V. Stern Weapons Facility * ***************************** -------------------------- Location "Security Sector" -------------------------- - Go up the stairs on the far left side of this area. - Go around the building on your right to your right. - Watch out for the mines (Stand back and shoot the mines to get rid of them). - Go into the door around the corner to the right and go over to the Checkpoint. Scene - Pick-up the Handgun Bullets and then use the Checkpoint. - Exit out of the map. Scene - Shoot the guys (use the explosive barrels to help) that appear and leave this room (Always watch your radar as it will warn you of danger and where enemies are coming from). - Go into the doorway that they came through (Even though I probably don't have to tell you this, but pick-up any ammo they dropped). - Go into the door you find here (Push X in front of the door). ---------------------------- Location "Security Corridor" ---------------------------- - Go down this corridor and into the next door. -------------------------- Location "Sector A Access" -------------------------- - Follow this corridor to the left and go into the door that you come to on your right. ---------------------- Location "Locker Room" ---------------------- - Get the Small Medpack in here and then leave this room. ---------------------------------------- Location "Sector A Access (Second Time)" ---------------------------------------- - Continue down the corridor to your right. Scene - Continue down this corridor and go up the stairs at the end of the corridor. - Go into the door at the top of the stairs. ------------------- Location "Sector A" ------------------- - Go to the far left of this area and locate the Access hatch (with the top portion of the ladder sticking up) that is covered by a wooden crate. Shoot the explosive barrel next to the crate to open up the Access Hatch. Climb/Slide down the ladder and go into the door behind you. ------------------------------- Location "Underground Corridor" ------------------------------- - Go down this Corridor and go to your left at the fork. - At the next fork go to your right and into the door on your right. ----------------------------------- Location "Underground Control Room" ----------------------------------- - Get the Large Medpack in here and then use the Checkpoint. - Exit the Map. Scene - Leave this room. -------------------------------------------- Location "Underground Corridor (Second Time" -------------------------------------------- - Go back to the ladder and climb up. On your way there you will notice two guards coming down the corridor leading to the ladder. If you want to see how dumb they are go near the wall closest to corridor near the laser protected door. They will end up passing you by and not even see you. --------------------------------- Location "Sector A (Second Time)" --------------------------------- - Go into the big door of this area that you opened up. -------------------------- Location "Sector B Access" -------------------------- - Go into the door to your left. - Shoot the Mines in this corridor and then go into the door to your right. ------------------- Location "Sector B" ------------------- - Go to the far right of this area and climb up onto the green boxes near the "Sector B Storage Building 5". - Jump over the gap and drop down on the other side of the fence in front of you. Get the Medpack to your right if you need it and then climb up the blue boxes behind the "Sector B Storage Building 5". Go into the window at the top ----------------------------- Location "Storage Building 5" ----------------------------- - Kill the guy in this building. Go down the ladder and get the "Power Cell" he dropped. - Use the Green Console near the laser guarded door to deactivate the lasers. --------------------------------- Location "Sector B (Second Time)" --------------------------------- - Go out that door and around the building to your left. Use the Power cell on the Generator to your left (The thing with the electricity warning signs on it). Scene - Go back into the "Storage Building 5". ------------------------------------------- Location "Storage Building 5 (Second Time)" ------------------------------------------- - Go down the ramp that was lowered down. --------------------------- Location "Weapons Research" --------------------------- - Go to your right and pick up the ID Card near the dead guy to your right. - Use the Checkpoint here and then use the Green console near the door. - Go out that door. -------------------------------------------- Location "Underground Corridor (Third Time)" -------------------------------------------- - Go down the corridor and when you reach the fork go to your right. - Go to the laser protected door to your left. - Look at the ID Card in your inventory for the Employee number (Left on D-Pad). Put that number into the console to the left of that laser protected door. The number is random this is four of the numbers I got when I got that ID Card (These are not all of them just an example of them): 0743 0527 0347 6125 - Kill all the guys in here. Scene - Boss Battle "Colony Inmate" This guy is pretty easy just take cover behind one of the pillars in here. When he starts coming towards you go around the other side of the pillar and sneak up behind him. Shoot him in the back repeatedly and then repeat the hiding behind the pillar process again. Scene ********************* * VI. Path to Below * ********************* - Use the Elevator here. ------------------------------- Location "Elevator Maintenance" ------------------------------- - When the elevator stops drop down to the ledge behind you. - Go down the ladder to your left. - Go down the corridor you find at the bottom of the ladder and into the door at the end of it. ---------------------------- Location "Ventilation Shaft" ---------------------------- - Follow the walkway to your right and use the Checkpoint. - Use the red puzzle console to your left and push the letters: A, B, D and E - Go across the bridge and get the Medpack. Go into the door on this side of the bridge. ----------------------------- Location "Maintenance Access" ----------------------------- - Go through this corridor to the next room. ---------------------------- Location "Shaft Maintenance" ---------------------------- - Go down the stairs here and into the next door that you find down here. ----------------------- Location "Shaft Access" ----------------------- - You can try going out the door to your left, but your path/bridge will be blocked by fire. - If you notice inside here near some crates is an explosive barrel. - Shoot that barrel and go through the hole that it creates. Go use the valve wheel that you come to (Rotate your left analog stick to move it). - No that the pressure is adjusted go back to where the explosive barrel was and go out the door leading to the bridge with the fire on it. ---------------------------- Location "Ventilation Shaft" ---------------------------- - Make your way across the bridge (watch out for the burst of fire). - At the end of the bridge you will notice on your right a light fixture that is sparking. Use your Iris scanner (L1) to scan the weak bolt on the lighting fixture. - Once you have scanned it you will then be able to target and shoot it. - Go into the hole it creates and Pick-up the weapons upgrade. - Turn the Valve wheel you find in here. - Shoot one of the mines to your left and then go out that doorway. - Go to your right and shoot more mines. Go down the corridor to your left There are some guards here to take care of. Shoot the steam pipes to help you with them or just shoot them yourself. - Continue down the corridor and go down the ladder that you come to. Watch out for the fire on the way down. You may just want to slide down the ladder and take the damage to be quicker. Scene - Follow the walkway to the left at the bottom of the ladder. - Go across the bridge to your left. - You will see some debris in the middle of the bridge. Drop off the left side of the bridge and shimmy to your left. Climb back up on the other side of the debris and jump across the gap to your left. - Use the Green console near the door on your left and go into that door. ----------------------- Location "Tool Storage" ----------------------- - Get the Medpack and climb up on the box near the checkpoint to get the Valve wheel in here. - Leave this room after using the Checkpoint. (Note: Just a reminder that you will need to push pause and save your game on the Save Last Checkpoint option for the game to be saved. If you actually die it will take you back to the last checkpoint you used when you push continue. However, If you turn off the machine you will lose all your progress if you didn't use the Save Last Checkpoint option. I recommend using it right after you use a Checkpoint. It also sometimes sends you back to either the beginning of an area or to the beginning of a scene depending on where you are in the game.) ------------------------------------------ Location "ventilation Shaft (Second Time)" ------------------------------------------ - Go along the walkway to your left and you will see a very narrow ledge here that goes along the wall. Wall hug (L2) and make your way across this narrow ledge. - Get the Ammo and continue across the next narrow ledge. - Use the Valve wheel on the Valve here. Take notice of the crates it's lifting up in the distance. - Go all the way back across the narrow ledges and follow the path down the stairs that are found after the Tool Storage room. - Continue down this walkway and you can either go over the boxes that you come to or go across the bridge to your left. Continue down the next walkway and go down the stairs. - Continue along this walkway and go across the bridge to your left. - Continue to follow the walkway at the end of the bridge and go down the next staircases that you will find. - YOU will find a valve door along this walkway. Before you use it continue a bit farther down the walkway and use your IRIS scanner to scan the cargo clamp. Shoot the Cargo clamp and climb over the boxes. - Get the items you find on the other side of the boxes and then go back to the Valve door. Use the Valve wheel and go into that doorway that opens. - Go through the hole in front of you and up the stairs. - Scan the Cargo clamp you see to your left and then shoot it. - Go down the hole it creates. - Get the Medpack/Ammo and use the Checkpoint in here. - You will notice there is a hatch here with a ladder. Scan the two padlocks on the sides of the hatch and then shoot them off. - Go down the ladder and Shoot the mines to your left. - Go out of the hole that was created and you will see a cargo clamp in front of you. Look up and to the right of the clamp to see where the support beam is connected to the wall. Use your IRIS scanner to scan the weak bolts on the metal plate holding up the support beam. - Shoot those bolts. Scene - Go to your left and use the control panel. Push the letters: B, C, D and E Scene - Go across the bridge that was made and into the doorway on the other side. Scene ------------------------------ Location "Loading Area Access" ------------------------------ - Follow the corridor ahead of you and stealthfully kill all the guards here. - Go into the door at the end of the corridor. ----------------------- Location "Loading Area" ----------------------- - Climb up on the crates to your right and then jump to the ledge with the broken railing. - Hang off the side of this ledge and shimmy to your left. - Use the control panel with the red flashing lights. - Before you go into the door climb up on top of the big boxes to the right of the door if your facing the door that just opened (under the ledge walkway you just used to get to the door controls). Go across the boxes here and drop down into the little area under the stairs to find the "A" Amuze Emblem. - Now go into the door that opened up. ************************** * VII. Power & Recycling * ************************** ------------------------- Location "Yard Access F3" ------------------------- - Get the Medpack at the end of the corridor in front of you and then go down the stairs that you passed along this corridor. - Go into the door that is at the bottom of the stairs. -------------------------------- Location "Yard Access Staircase" -------------------------------- - Shoot one of the windows out here to your left quickly to clear the toxic gas. - Go down the corridor and into the door to your left. ------------------------- Location "Yard Access F2" ------------------------- - Go down the stairs and out the next door. ------------------------- Location "Yard Access F1" ------------------------- - Go down the stairs and into the door at the end of the corridor. ------------------------- Location "Colony Yard" ------------------------- Scene - Kill all the guys in this yard (you may want to use the boxes near the doorway you came out of as cover. It is easier to take them down from there while they are coming up the stairs.) and go across the bridge to your far right. Go into the door on the other side of that bridge. --------------------------------- Location "Yard Surveillance Area" --------------------------------- - Follow this corridor through the next door and wall hug against the crates here to see up the first flight of stairs. When the guard appears quickly take him down. - Go up the stairs and into the door he was protecting. - Go into the door to your right. ----------------------------- Location "Surveillance Booth" ----------------------------- - Get the Medpack/Ammo in here and use the Checkpoint. Scene - Go back to the Colony Yard. ------------------------------------ Location "Colony Yard (Second Time)" ------------------------------------ - Use the Control panel that it showed you. Scene . Go up the stairs to your left. Take notice of the Electro magnetic Clamp at the top of the stairs holding up some boxes. You will be using that a bit later. For now go to your right and into the door to your left to get a Medpack. - Leave this room and continue left. Go into the door it showed you. ------------------------------------ Location "Control Facility Elevator" ------------------------------------ - Use the Control Panel to your left to open up the elevator. - Use the Elevator's Control Panel. Go down to "Control Facility B1". ------------------------- Location "Storage Sector" ------------------------- - Follow the corridor to your right and go into the door to your left. - Locate the Shocker weapon in the back of this room. Leave this room from the door you haven't used yet. - Shoot the Explosive barrel to your left. - Go into the hole it made and scan the green fuse box in this room on the wall. Use your new Shocker weapon on it (You will want to use a fully charged shot by holding down your fire button until your ready to fire). - Go back out of the hole and follow this corridor. Go into the doorway at the end of the little corridor you find to your left. --------------------------- Location "Computer Station" --------------------------- - Go down the stairs to your left and follow the corridor to your left. - Take care of the guys you see in the room to the right before going in there. - Get the Medpack and then use the Checkpoint. - Shoot one of the windows to your left and climb out of it. - Go down the corridor to your right and get the battery. Go the other way down the corridor and look over the door you come to. You will see a number that you should memorize (130). - Go back to the room with the Checkpoint and use the Battery on the Transformer near the Checkpoint. Use the Transformer. - You will need to fill up the Transformer up to the voltage number you saw on the doorway. - The numbers you should use are: 20, 20, 60, 80 and -50 Scene - Go into that doorway with the number on it now. ------------------------------- Location "Reactor Control Room" ------------------------------- Scene - Get the Code Disc Level 1 on the floor to the left of the checkpoint and then Use the Checkpoint in this room. - Shoot the guys that show up. Scene - Shoot the guys that come out of the elevator and use the elevator. You may want to save your game before using the elevator. You should also try to solve the code breaker puzzle at this time (right on D-pad) - Go up to the Colony Yard F1. ----------------------------------- Location "Colony Yard (Third Time)" ----------------------------------- - Go up the stairs to your right (watch out for the guard). - Climb up the ladder you find to your right. Use the checkpoint that you find to the left at the top of the ladder. - I recommend going back to those stairs that you were first on when you entered the Colony Yard to your left (if you are facing the checkpoint) to take out all the guards here easier. Scene - Go into the doorway to the right of the stairs that lead up to the electromagnetic Clamp. - Pick- up the Utility Belt 1 in this room it lets you carry more stuff. - Get all the other items/Ammo in this room and then leave this room. - Go across the bridge to your left back to the Yard Surveillance Area. --------------------------------- Location "Yard Surveillance Area" --------------------------------- - Use the door that has the 1 on it. near the stairs in the room at the end of the corridor. IF you haven't done that level 1 code breaker puzzle yet you will want to do it now to open the door with the 1 on it. ------------------------------------ Location "Reactor Facility Elevator" ------------------------------------ - Get the Medpack and use the Elevator in this room. - Go down to the Reactor Facility B1. ---------------------------------- Location "Power Condenser Chamber" ---------------------------------- - Go straight down this corridor. Scene - Get the Explosives and use the Checkpoint. - Use the Elevator and head back to the Colony Yard yet again. ------------------------------------ Location "Colony Yard (Fourth Time)" ------------------------------------ - On the other side of the bridge to your right you will see a ladder. Go down that ladder and jump the gap to your left. Make your way around the walkway to the "Power Distributor". Use your new Explosives on it. Shoot the explosive from a distance to blow up the Distributor. Go back up the ladder and go to where the stairs are of this area. - Go up the stairs that the Electromagnetic Clamp is and use your Shocker weapon on it. - Climb up the boxes to the ledge above and use your explosives on the fan/vent here. - Go inside the hole that was created and pick up more explosives. Use your Explosives on the Power Distributor of this room and then drop back down off the boxes. - Go to your left past all the doors and around the corner to the left of this building. You will find a narrow ledge to walk across. Once across use your explosives on the fan/vent and then go into the hole it created. Use your explosives on this final Power Distributor. - Go back to the room that you first got the Explosives in. ------------------------------------------------ Location "Power Condenser Chamber (Second Time)" ------------------------------------------------ - Use the Checkpoint and then go into the door at the end of the corridor. ----------------------- Location "Machine Room" ----------------------- - Kill the two guards in the corridor to your right and then go down the stairs at the end of the corridor. - You will see a few control panels down here with maps above them. Use your scanner for a closer view of the map. You will notice on the map that the control panels are numbered along with the exhaust emissions. - Use the number 2 Valve control and go into the door that is near the stairs. Get the Jack-Hammer weapon that is in here and ammo. - Go back out and use the number 1 Control Panel to the left. Now go counter-clockwise around stuff in the middle of this room over to Control Panel number 3 and use it. - Go clockwise around the stuff in the middle and use the number 5 Control Panel. Go back to the number 1 Control Panel and use the it. - Go clockwise around the stuff in the middle over to where the 4th Control Panel is and use it. Go into the room near this control panel to get grenades and ammo. - Now go counter clockwise around the stuff in the middle and you will see an emissions exhaust blocking your way. Climb over the boxes to the left of it to get past it. Drop down and use the green control panel next to the door that is near you. Scene - Go into that door that is now opened. --------------------------------- Location "Monitor Station Access" --------------------------------- - Go into the door at the end of the corridor. -------------------------- Location "Monitor Station" -------------------------- - Get the Medpack and then use the Checkpoint. You can see the room you need to get down to out of the windows in this room. - Go back out to the Machine room. ------------------------------------- Location "Machine Room (Second Time)" ------------------------------------- - Go into the door directly in front of you. --------------------------------- Location "Reactor Access Hallway" --------------------------------- - Go down the stairs and make your way through the steam filled room to your right. GO to your left at the end and go into the door that you find here. ---------------------------- Location "Induction Chamber" ---------------------------- - Get past the electrical burst here. Just wait until the one in front of you shuts off and quickly go/roll past it. Go into the door when you reach the other side. -------------------------- Location "Reactor Chamber" -------------------------- Scene - Go around to the other side of the reactor in the center of the room and use the control panel. Before you do that though you will need to get rid of the guards in this room. Scene - Now go to each of the three pumps around the sides of this circular room and use the pumps pushing back and forth until each one snaps into place. Be prepared everytime you snap one into place guards will show up. Scene - Use the Checkpoint and then go into the door next to it. ----------------------------- Location "Emergency Corridor" ----------------------------- - Get the Medpack and shoot one of the mines in front of you. - Follow this corridor to an elevator and use the Checkpoint near it before going into the elevator. Watch out for guards along the way protecting this corridor. - Use the Elevator to go up to the Colony Yard F1. ----------------------------------------------- Location "Yard Surveillance Area (Second Time)" ----------------------------------------------- - Use the green Console to your left. - Use the door you now have unlocked. - Go out the door to your left and go out to the Colony Yard. ----------------------------------- Location "Colony Yard (Fifth Time)" ----------------------------------- Scene - Boss Battle "Fernando" You can try the same technique as you did with the other boss battle. However it seems this guy is a bit faster on the draw sometimes. I have also found a way to beat him without even taking any damage. Lead him near to the walkway that you first got to the Colony Yard with and once he is there quickly run to the other stairs that leads up to the Electromagnetic Clamp. Go to your right along the railing and take cover behind the large pipe that goes along the railing. When he gets into view aim for him from up here. You will be able to shoot him and anytime he tries shooting you with a rocket the big pipe in front of you will block it. - Once you have beaten him get his access key. - Before you do anything else go to the left side of the stairs that lead up to the electromagnetic clamp and scan the wall here. Blow it up with your explosives and get the "M" Amuze Emblem. - Now go across the bridge that you haven't used yet (near the Checkpoint). Use the control panel to the left of the big door. ********************************** * VIII. Tunnels to Manufacturing * ********************************** ------------------------------ Location "Loading Area Access" ------------------------------ - Go into the doorway ahead. ----------------------- Location "Loading Area" ----------------------- - Go up the stairs on the far right of this room and follow the walkway around to the right. Go into the door you come to. ----------------------- Location "Storage Room" ----------------------- - Get the Medpack and the Level 2 Code Disc. Use your code breaker to be able to unlock the level 2 Security doors. Leave this room once you have done that. ------------------------------------- Location "Loading Area (Second Time)" ------------------------------------- - Go down the stairs and into the Level 2 Door to your left. ------------------------- Location "Freight Tunnel" ------------------------- (Note: These areas coming up makes me think of Stargate-SG1's Replicator insect bots attacking. You will run into many insect robots in this area. Just take your time. Kill them fast without letting them get near you and you should be fine.) Scene - Follow the Tunnel to the right to find a gate. Scan the padlock on it and then shoot it off. - Continue on to the large circular area to the left. Scene - Boss Battle "Tick Bots" They are fairly easy just back up and start moving to the right around this circular room shooting at them and you should be able to kill them off without even taking damage. - Use the Valve wheel in this room to open up the gate. Go in and Scan the wall in front of you. Place your explosives next to that wall and shoot it from a safe distance. Use the Checkpoint before going on. - Go in the hole that was made. ------------------------ Location "No Man's Land" ------------------------ - Follow the walkway to the right. Jump over the gap and then hang off the other side of this walkway to shimmy past the broken portion of this walkway. - Climb back up and go to your right. Drop down to the walkway below. - Use the ladder that you find here to go down and then go down to the ground with the stairs. - Go towards the area with the big shipping crates are being moved along a conveyor belt. Use your scanner when you are below those crates and look to your right. You should find a weak wall to place explosives at. You can also find the weak wall by listening for the tapping of the insect bots feet. Before you blow up the wall you may want to back up quite a bit as quite a few bugs will come out of the hole. - Go into the hole and up the stairs. Go into the doorway to your left. ----------------------- Location "Loading Area" ----------------------- - Make your way down the corridor to your right while running alongside some of the shipping crates to protect you from the lasers. - The first laser you will want to run along the left side of the shipping crate. - The next laser you will want to run along the right side of the shipping crate. - The third set you will want to wait until the first laser goes behind the wall sticking out on the left. Quickly run between the two walls and run along the left side of the shipping crate that comes along. - Quickly shoot the ticks that show up and use the checkpoint here. - Use your scanner and look for the weak wall here. Use your explosives on it. - Go into the hole that is made. - Go down the corridor and into the door to your right. - Boss Battle "Ralph" This guy is less hard then the pass two guys you had to battle. Just use the same tactics you did with the others and you should be fine. - Take the Fuse he drops. Use the Fuse on the Fuse Panel. - You will need to watch the cargo/pipes that moves along a conveyor belt when you place in the fuse. Pull the fuse at just the right time that the cargo/pipes won't be blocking the gate on the left that you can see near the moving cargo. There is a glitch here that I should warn you about. If you
