You must bounce these off rotatable mirrors to send them all over 9x9 grids. The mirrors all have 8 rotation alignments, ranging from perfectly vertical to perfectly horizontal, and six alignments in between. Given how sensitive the mirrors are, getting your alignment perfect can be tricky. To finish each level, you must shine light on a star-shaped object present in each area. However, you can only end the level after you have destroyed all the dark-shaded object 'balls' that inhabit most of the levels, as well as lit all of the lightbulbs that are present in many levels, particularly towards the end of the game. There are also some 'filters' that must be rotated to allow light to pass through them. Some are just single-filtered, but others are + or X shaped, and can allow light to pass through them from two sides. While this is all occuring, a timer is running. The player must be particularly careful not to send light around in such a way that light is either bounced back from one mirror to another mirror that reflects it back to the original mirror, or against mirror walls in such a way that light cannot escape and go off screen or to another object. If you do so, you will lose time from your timer, which can be particularly annoying. The follow below is the legend of how things are charted on level maps. Once you tilt A9 to reflect into A7, go back around in reverse order to adjust the mirrors as needed to set up perfect rotation between them. Rotate the mirror at B5 counterclockwise until it destroys the object at D1, then rotate the mirror counterclockwise a bit more to hit F1 and end the level. The filters, as marked on the above grid by the = signs, must be rotated around so that they are aligned perfectly horizontally to allow light to pass through without obstruction. Also, each of the bulbs, marked as B, must be lit up by briefly redirecting light at it. Start the level off by tilting the filter at A5, then tilting the mirror at A9 to a \ position, and next off going around in an S shape until you get to the filter at I5. Turn it horizontally, then go around and fix all your mirrors, making sure to light up each bulb in turn, up until you light all the bulbs and reflect light into A1. In sequence, you should be able to destroy the objects at D2 and D3, then E4 and F4, and finally D5 and D6. After all eight objects in the center have been destroyed, tilt the mirrors at D7 and D4 around so they can reflect light on G7, then move A4 around to bounce light from the light-casting source at A1 to G7. Start by rotating the mirrors at A1, A9, D9 and D4. Tilt G3 to destroy the nearby object and then reflect light at F1, then tilt F1 around a bit to redirect light up to A1. With luck, you should be able to redirect light around clockwise to D4, though you will probably need to adjust your mirrors a bit. Go to D4, and rotate it around counterclockwise to destroy the object at C7 and then continue on until you have it directing light south at I4. Tilt A3 around some more so light is reflected at C5. Move C5 around to destroy C6. Go to E3, tilt it around so it is reflecting to the right, move E4 so it is horizontal, then move A3 around until light is reflected south at E3, destroying the object at D3, then adjust E3 so it destroys the 3 objects to the right and hits the object at the end. Light can only go past the wall if it is perfectly vertical, as will be demonstrated at the start when C5 is automatically destroyed. Begin by tilting the mirrors to your left at F2, F4, H1 and H3 so they are all in a \ formation. Rotate the mirror at H5 counterclockwise so it hits the mirror at F4. Adjust F4 so the light reflects up and destroys B4 and C4, then move F4 around so light is reflected into F2, then destroying B2 and C2. After, tilt H5 around so it reflects into H3, destroying the 3 objects north of it, then into H1, destroying the single object north of it. Once all the objects on the left side are destroyed, adjust the four mirrors to your right so they have / rotation. In order, cast light at F6, face it north, then from F6 to F8, face that north, then finally to H7 and lastly H9, hitting the object in A9 to finish the level off. Level Eight ----------- [008] 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 A B B B B / | C D L E | | F O G H | I B B B Despite how busy this level looks, do not let it intimidate you: start off by rotating the mirror at E1 so it is not vertically pointed, and point it so that it will reflect light either south or north. Next, tilt the mirror at E9 so that it reflects the light coming from D5 > B5 to E1. Move E1 around so that you hit all six bulbs, top and bottom, of E1. The middle bulb on the top and bottom will have to be hit with light reflecting off the nearby walls: do one full rotation of your mirror, then if either of the middle bulbs are not yet hit, tilt the mirror slightly against the wall to reflect it onto the middle bulb. After all 6 bulbs are hit, tilt E9 back to a vertical position so light strikes the object at F5 again. After making any necessary adjustments to H9, all the objects in column 9 should be destroyed. Once that is done, tilt H4 counterclockwise slightly to make it reflect among the walls and hit the object at B3. Move to the X-shaped filter at D5. Rotate it around until it lets light through, moving from D8 to A5 and straight south through the X-filter gain to H5. Make mirror adjustments as necessary. Rotate the mirror at H5 until all the objects in the bottom section are destroyed, then rotate the mirror at D8 again so light points directly at D9. Level Eleven ------------ [011] 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 A | | B = C D O O O O E O O O O F O O O O L G O Rotate the mirror at A8 counterclockwise until it points into the room ranging from D3 to F6. It will take several seconds, but the light will reflect and bounce around, destroying all the objects in the process. Once that is finished, you should notice the light will bounce out of the room at B4 (if it does not, rotate the mirror at A8 around slightly until it does). Rotate the filter at B4 so light goes through it to A2, then rotate A2 so it bounces light southwest of it to the object at G1. Level Twelve ------------ [012] 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 A | B B B C \ D O O E O O O F L O O O G O H \ O O O O O O Level 12 introduces another new element: mirrors that are fixed in place (they cannot be rotated). In some sense, these are actually easier to work with, since they do not need to be toyed around with. Start by rotating the mirror at A1 clockwise to hit the two lightbulbs. Once it hits the mirror at C2, stop rotating the mirror, as the two fixed mirrors will in turn cast light at all the objects in the counterclockwise tunnel. Start by tilting A7 around a bit until the mirror casts light at I9. Rotate I9 clockwise to cast light at A3. Rotate A3 clockwise, and then finally I5 clockwise to bounce light across the walls to the object at D1. Level Fourteen -------------- [014] 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 A B \ B B C D L E | O | F G H I B \ B Start by quickly rotating the mirror at A5 so it hits the bulb at A1, and then A9. Let the light go just south of A9, but do not rotate the mirror at A5 any further. Instead, rotate E7 so it is reflecting southwest as a \ shape, and E3 as a / shape. Rotate A5 around to hit the two middle mirrors and reflect light off of them to light up the two bottom bulbs. Finally, bounce light off of E7 to I5, which should already be in the correct position to light up the object at E5. As it does so, it should destroy all but 3 of the objects in the center of the level. Once you get light cast onto the mirror at F1 and then A6, rotate A6 around to destroy 2 more of the objects. All that should be remaining is one object at E7. Rotate I4 around to reflect off of G8, then move G8 around clockwise to hit E7. Rotate I4 back around to hit F1 again, then rotate it so it casts light up at the object at A1. Level Sixteen ------------- [016] 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 A - O O O O O O O | B X C X O | O | D X E X O O O | F X G X O O O | H I L O O O O Start by tilting the mirror at A1 so it reflects to the right, A9 so it reflects to the south, C9, E9 and G9 so they all reflect to the left, and C5 so that it is horizontal. Once all those are in place, move all the X-filters around so light can go through all of them and then bounce around into the chamber with all the objects. Once light goes through Row A and down column 9, you should be able to destroy most of the objects inside the chamber by rotating C9, except for four of them. Once you have done all you can with C9, straighten it out bertically so light passes through to E9. You should be able to destroy all but one object using E9. Pass light on to G9, destroy the last object, then make it vertical again so light goes straight to I9. Level Seventeen --------------- [017] 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 A L - B C | D / E F O \ O B G H | I | O O You should notice a new obstacle in this level at F1, which looks vaguely like a sort of bowling ball. Unlike the other objects, you do NOT want to strike this, as it will suck up your time. Start the level by rotating D1 around a bit, as the position it is in will cause light to go through it to F1, sucking up time. After, rotate A9 and C9 until light is cast at D1, then rotate that so light goes straight to F3. Rotate F3 so it shines to the right, destroying an object and ighting up a ball, then turn F3 around some more so it reflects the light to I3. Move I3 into a \ formation so it shines light right onto a couple more objects, ending the level. Level Eighteen -------------- [018] 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 A L B O O O C | X O | O D O O O O E | = F O G = H | O I | Tilt the X-filter and the two regular filters in column 5 so they all allow light to pass south uninterrupted to I5, then rotate C2 and E1 so they are both /. Rotate the mirror at I5 so it is in a \ formation to bounce off the walls and hit C8. Rotate C8 around to destroy all the objects around it, then rotate it to bounce mirror west through the X-filter at C5 to C2 (you should have C2 in a / rotation already - if not, do so prior to rotating C8 to avoid losing time). Bounce light from C2 to E1 to H1, then rotate H1 so it strikes the object at H2. Start off by rotating A3, A5, A7, B4, B6, F4, F6, F8, G5, and G7 so that they are all horizontal. Next, tilt F2 slightly so it points light up column 2, hitting the bulb at the end. Tilt B2 slightly so that light bounces off the numerous mirrors, knocking out most but not all of the objects. Quickly rotate the mirror again afterwards so you do not lose time. With several objects destroyed, tilt A3 to a / position, then move B3 back around a bit to reflect off A3, destroying any objects left in row A and lighting up the bulb at A8. Rotate F8 to a \ rotation. Turn F2 around clockwise a little to strike the object at D3, then rotate F2 counterclockwise so it first strikes the bulb at G2, then bounces off F8 onto G8. Rotate F8 around counterclockwise so it strikes D3, then point F8 straight north. Rotate B8 finally to strike A9. Level Twenty ------------ [020] 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 A O B C | O O O O O D O O O O O E O O O O F O O O O O G | O O O O O H I L After the last level, level twenty is ridiculously easy by comparison. Rotate G1 clockwise slowly until you make a complete rotation: after, there should be only three objects left in the large chamber to your right to eliminate. Go up to C1, and give it a single full rotation to destroy the three remaining objects before finally pointing it back up straight at A1. After, rotate A1 and E1 so they both reflect /, and I5 so it reflects \. Tilt E9 so it goes /, then move I5 so it bounces light off E9 and touches the bulb at E6. Rotate E9 further so it bounces light to I5, which should reflect light to the bulb at F5. Rotate I5 so it bounces light to E1, which should light up B4, then rotate E1 so it lights up A1. Adjust A1 if it is not in a perfect position to light up the object at E5 already. Rotate A5 away a decent amount to the /, and then I5 around slightly as well. Start rotating F5 around counterclockwise so it destroys most of the objects on the right side of the level, until it finally casts light at A5. Use A5 to light up all the objects up at the top remaining while avoiding D4 and D6, then rotate it counterclockwise to E1. Use E1 to destroy most of the remaining objects in the level, cast light onto I5, then destroy the remaining handful of objects. Once that is done, rotate the mirror at F5 again to light up F4 right next to it. You can ignore the two X-filters at A3 and E5. Once that is all set-up, Rotate the X-filter at E1 so light is cast up to A1. You will only be able to light up Bulb C3 from here. Once that is done, cast light onto I5, and light up G3 and G7 before reflecting light to I9, then to A5. Destroy and of the center four objects if they have not been hit with light already, light the bulb at C7, then light the object at A9. After you light up the bulb at D4, you should have the light coming to I4. Rotate I4 around to light up E4 and G5 and destroy I5 - if the bulb at G5 unlights, do not worry about it. Manipulate I4 to a \ position so it casts light onto I7, then move I7 into a \ position to bounce light around until it destroys all the objects in columns 7 and 8 and penetrates B7. If the bulb at G5 is not lit at this time, rotate I7 a bit to light it up before rotating it back to light B7. Make sure both I5 and G8 are lit, then rotate the mirror to cast light on A1. Use A1 to destroy several more objects, and cast light on H8 to destroy any troublesome spots around there. Rotate G4 again to reflect off of E2, then to A6. Light any of the bulbs remaining unlit, then rotate E2 again to a / position to strike the object at E9. Fortunately, there's only two mirrors you need to focus on. Tilt the mirror at E4 slightly \, then move the mirror at C6 clockwise until it reflects off of E4. Rotate E4 around clockwise some more and it should hit all 7 objects in Row F, before finally pointing the light directly south at I4. Turn C1 around into a \ position to send light through the filter and to C6. Use C6 to destroy the objects in the upper right corner of the level, then rotate it around until light is reflected at the filter at E5. Rotate E5 until light can get through it to G4, then rotate G4 to destroy all the objects in the lower right before finally casting it at I1. From A7, bounce light down to I3, then destroy the objects at E1 and G2 before bouncing light over to F6. Rotate the filter at E4 to let light through from F6, then bounce light from D2 to the object at B1. Use the mirror at G7 to hit the nearby object at I8, then reflect light to I3, then from I3 to B1, then from B1 to F9, and point F9 straight up to finish the level. Tilt I7 around until you destroy most of the objects from F2 to G6, then rotate A3 around clockwise some more so it casts light directly on E1. Rotate G4 onto the X-filter at E5, turn E5 around to let light through up to A7, bounce light from A7 to B9 to the filter at D8. Rotate the filter to allow light to go through to the mirror at F7. Rotate F7 to cast light through the X- filter again to D3. Before rotating D3, rotate D1 first to a \ position, then rotate D3 to reflect light to D1, and then to A4. Start by rotating A9 into a \ position, and try to hit all three bulbs in row C and D6. Whatever you cannot get, use A5 to get the remainder of those. In the case of C5, you can light that one up directly with E9 if you need to later. Once those four are lit, cast light to G8, then to H5. Light up the remaining four bulbs from here, then cast light onto H5. If you need to light C5 at this time, move E9 again to light it, then move back into position. Next, reflect light from F4 to H8, then to B5, next to D1, and finally to H4 that you should have rotated earlier. Cast H4 at where I5 is and the light will destroy the blocks, allowing it to touch the object at I6. Bounce light from E7 through E6 to E5, then north past C5 after rotating it into B5. Use B5 to destroy the objects at B8 and A5. Next, rotate E5 slightly to cast light to C4, then rotate C4 to let light through to A3. Destroy the object at A2. Now, rotate E5 once more so it may strike F3. Tilt F3 to allow light through to hit G2 and then the mirror at G1. Rotate G1 to light the bulb at G3. Tilt E5 around once more so it faces directly south. Rotate G5 to let light through, then use H5 to hit the objects at I5 and H8. Rotate E5 back clockwise so it touches G4, then let light through G4 to I3. Destroy the object at I3. Rotate F3 around so you cannot unlight the bulb at G3 by accident, then rotate E5 clockwise again until it hits D3. Move D3 around to let light go in at C1. Light up the last bulb before reflecting light at E1. Do a full rotation of A3 to light up all of the lightbulbs, then rotate A9 so it hits the mirror at G6. Put G6 in a / formation so it bounces the inside of the walls to strike the bulb at E1, then cast light onto I4 from G6. Destroy any objects that remain before casting light onto H1. Level Thirty Six ---------------- [036] 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 A O B M C | O | D M B E B O | O B F B M G | O | H I L Level Thirty Six introduces one of the most annoying elements in the game: moveable blocks. If light gets cast on a moveable block, marked M, then it shall be pushed in the direction the light is being cast towards. What is worse, it is possible to lose a level as a result of these movable blocks, with the occasion in this level of accidentally pushing the block at B7 to B8 and blocking light from touching A8. Start off by rotating G8 so it is in a / location. Next, rotate G3 COUNTERCLOCKWISE (if you rotate clockwise you will automatically lose) to strike the bulb at E2, then continue counterclockwise until light is reflected at G8. Use G8 to light up the object at E8 and bulb at E9 before touching C8. Rotate C8 counterclockwise to hit the last object and bulb, then rotate it clockwise again to light up the object at A8. Rotate C4 so it lets light through to A8. Rotate A8 counterclockwise to light up the bulb at A6 until it reflects light at the X-filter at C7. Rotate this X-filter to let light through to G6, destroying several objects along the way. Rotate G6 to let light go through to I4. Turn I4 to a \ position to bounce light over to G8. Light the bulb at A5 and G9 and destroy any remaining objects. Tilt I4 around to point north at E5. Turn E5 around so it is vertically aligned, then move A1 around so it will reflect light directly to the south. Rotate D4 to bounce light to A1, and adjust A1 as necessary in order to light I1. Once all the bulbs have been lit up, rotate I4 around again so it beams light directly onto I8. Start with a full counterclockwise rotation of A5. Once you have finished a full rotation, tilt A4 over somewhat so it reflects onto B3, then reflect A5 onto B3. Rotate B3 around once. By this time A1 through A3 should be lit, so tilt B3 over to reflect onto B2. Use B2 to light up B1 before casting light down to H2 after adjusting H2 to a / position. Rotate H2 to light up any of the bulbs that are not yet lit, then straighten out H3 horizontally and pass light through H3 to H7. If H9 and I9 are already lit, you can use H7 to light up I7 and I8; otherwise, horizontally straighten H7 to pass H8 and light up the bulbs in the lower right. From H7 or H8, pass light to B8 (in the case of H7, to B7 --> B8), then light up any remaining bulbs. Go down to one of the bottom mirrors that is bouncing light around, and tilt it so it lights the object at F5. Use C7 to light the Bulb at E8 as well and eliminate the object at F8. By this time, with the set-up of the mirrors as it is, the only bulbs remaining unlit should be at E2, H4, I1 and I9. Get I9 by reflecting light from C7 to G7, G8 and then to I9. Afterwards, rotate C5 clockwise so it touches F3, while making sure all the while that none of the current lit bulbs are not unlit in the process. From F3, cast light at whatever bulbs you can, then pass light to G3. Light any other bulbs that remain unlit, then pass light to E1. Tilt D6 clockwise until light bounces off a wall to I2. Use I2 to light up F1 and I3 before directing light at the X-filter at G4. Move the X-filter around to let light through to G7. Light up all the bulbs before bouncing light over from G7 to H5, then simply adjust H5 until you can light up I5. Afterwards, rotate G1 around to light up I1. Straighten G5 out to allow light to H5, and use that to destroy I5 and H8. Continue rotating E5 to light G4. Tilt G4 to continue the light wave to I3 and use it to destroy I2. Rotate E5 a penultimate time until it hits F3, then rotate F3 to let light to G1. Reflect light from G1 to light up G3. Straighten E2 out horizontally, then rotate E5 one last time to light up E1. Quickly rotate it after you have pushed it twice so it is north of E5. Switch back to E5 and rotate light north so it pushes the moveable block into E2 or E1. Put E5 back into condition, then use G3 to destroy C3. Finally, with C1 again, send light off to C7 after rotating C7 to a / position and destroy A7. Finally, go to I9 and rotate it clockwise some more to cast light on A9. Go back to I9 and rotate it so it sends light north again. Straighten E9 out horizontally, and finally use A9 to reflect your lightwave onto A1 and finish up the level. Use G7 to light up H8, then rotate G7 again to light up H5 after you put H5 into a - position. Rotate H5 counterclockwise to light up H2 and then to destroy the object at F4 through the walls. By this point, all the objects should finally be destroyed, so light any bulbs that still need to be lit, then use G7 to light the object at F5. Finally, take E1 and rotate it clockwise to send light to C3. Straighten out C4 and send light to C5. Shine light straight south then rotate it clockwise once to shine light on E5 before sending light to C6, and use it to light up A6. Start with B5, and use B4 and B6 to help light all the bulbs in row A. Once row A is done, pass light from B5 to E8, and use D8 and F8 to help light all of column 9 before passing light from E8 to H5. Repeat the same steps as before to light row I before passing off to E2 and light column A before using either F1 or F8 to cast light on F5. Use D7 to light up bulbs B9 through D9. Rotate C3 some more to light up the three lightbulbs at C4, D4 and D5. Pass light onto D3, and rotate D3 into a / position to light up G6 down below. With the top section cleared, rotate F3 and F9 into a \ position, and send light from E3 to F3 through F4 to F9. Use F9 to light nearly all the bulbs in the bottom row. Straighten out F3 to allow light to G3, and put H4 into a \ position to light up I5 from G3. Use G3 again to light up G5. From there, it is a simple manner of rotating F3 clockwise and putting light past a horizontally straight F2 to F1. Rotate F7 around counterclockwise some more to light up I7, then straighten F7 out. Use F6 to cast light straight north after rotating D6 again, and then slightly northwest at A4 via D5, then use F6 to light up I6 and I9 down below, along with I1. At this point, you should have three obstacles left at the top to destroy, at B2, B4 and B8. Rotate F5 clockwise once to light up I8 down below, then rotate counterclockwise to send light to your left side. Rotate the row F mirrors directly south to take care of the remaining bulbs, then shine light on G1. Straighten C3 out, and repeat with C5 pushing the block south. Cast light back on G1 to push the second to the far right. Head up to E1 and tilt it counterclockwise to send light over to E7, and be sure to destroy E8. Finally, use C3 again to destroy H3, and use C5 to cast light on I5. Once you have A7 in a safe position and B8, C7 and C8 destroyed, go to C1 and rotate it to a horizontal position. Go back to A7 and rotate it counterclockwise so it is slightly more horizontal than vertical, and it should bounce light over to C1, which should either light B1 or bounce off left off the level map. Make sure B1 is lit, then rotate C1 until it is completely vertical, then rotate it clockwise once more to bounce light around like crazy down to I1. From I1, rotate it counterclockwise. As H9 is already in position to light I9, once I1 is in position you will automatically end the level. Finally, head back to G9 and rotate it to send light to I5 and finish up the hundredth level. Finally rotate D5 for the last time after affirming all the bulbs are lit to cast light to the left on D1, wrapping up the area. Turn E6 to a / position, then tilt E8 clockwise to send light to E6, and it shall give you the chance to light I6 on the way. Use E6 to light up I4, then send light to H2 via H3 after tilting H3 to a / position. Use H2 to light H1 and I2. With the bulbs hopefully all lit, go to B5 and rotate it some more to light up E4. It is possible to lose this level, however, if a block grows underneath where A3 is, blocking off light, so that is why you need to make adjusts to F1 prior to sending light over to it. Once you rotate C1, what should happen is light should go to G1, then to I3, to I5, and light up I9. After adjustments, rotate I9 counterclockwise to shine on the moveable block and push it north. Now, whatever you do, do NOT rotate I3 counterclockwise, or else it will push the moveable block at E2 into E1. Instead, rotate I3 clockwise to light up both F3 and E3, and stop after rotating it back into a safe position counterclockwise. Tilt G7 to a / position, then rotate G1 counterclockwise to send light to G7. Adjust G7 as needed to finally light up E9.
