It's a ghost. Who blows a bubble. That's pretty much it, really XD An ingenious puzzle game, I just honestly enjoy playing it, even if it is downright aggravating at times! / =============================== \ < [02] Disclaimer > \ =============================== / Listen up you mangy lot, this bit is important. You are free to use this FAQ for personal reference but if you plagiarize any sections, well... I'll have to come up with something evil to do to you... The only place allowed to host this FAQ is: GameFAQS - http://www.gamefaqs.com If you see it anywhere else, please contact me at: spatfaqs@hotmail.co.uk You can also contact me with any questions that pertain to Bubble Ghost that AREN'T answered in this FAQ, or any corrections to mistakes I've made (this does not include typographical errors; I'm not THAT anal retentive about my work). Also, do not bother to email me and ask whether you can host this FAQ on your site, the answer is no. GameFAQs is the only place I particularly feel like trusting, while sites that have to go soliciting for FAQs strike me as desperate to get a reputation even a tenth of that GameFAQs has. So don't bother, I won't even reply to your emails. / =============================== \ < [03] Version History > \ =============================== / v1.20 - Updated the Copyright. [09/01/09] v1.15 - Changed my email address. v1.10 - I added a line to the map at the beginning of the walkthrough. I also fiddled slightly with the section headings and the contents. Yeah, that's the entire purpose behind this update. Whatever. v1.05 - Fiddled with the FAQ section a bit. v1.00 - It's not like there's a whole lot that can be done with a FAQ for this kind of game, and I think I've got it all down here. / =============================== \ < [04] Contents > \ =============================== / **>Introduction -------------------------------------- [01] **>Disclaimer ---------------------------------------- [02] **>Version History ----------------------------------- [03] **>Contents ------------------------------------------ [04] **>Walkthrough --------------------------------------- [05] **>FAQ ----------------------------------------------- [06] **>Thanks -------------------------------------------- [07] **>Legal Stuff --------------------------------------- [08] **>Next Version -------------------------------------- [09] **>Working On... ------------------------------------- [10] **>Goodbye!~ ----------------------------------------- [11] / =============================== \ < [05] Walkthrough > \ =============================== / Before we start, here's some general tips on how to play the game: 1) Do not expect to finish this game on your first attempt, since you just won't. Nobody does. Just see how far in you can get, and get yourself used to blowing the bubble about. 2) Don't hold down the A button, ever, even when blowing in a straight line. While it may seem easier, in most circumstances, it's very easy to lose control whilst doing so, and even in a straight line, it just encourages laziness. When doing it in puffs, you can measure out distance far more effectively. 3) Pause the game at the beginning of each level, and study the layout and obstacles, as well as potential points bonuses. If, like me, you measure distances in puffs, you should be able to work out exactly what you need to do before unpausing, meaning you can get through the level far faster, and thus get more points. Yay!~ 4) Turn the freaking sound off. That damn background music will drive you crazy, I promise it. ______ ______ ______ ______ ______ ______ | | | | | | | | | | | | | 30 |=| 31 |=| 32 |=| 33 |=| 34 |=| 35 |- Outdoors! |______| |______| |______| |______| |______| |______| __||__ ______ __||__ ______ ______ ______ | | | | | | | | | | | | | 29 |=| 28 |=| 27 |=| 26 |=| 25 |=| 24 | |______| |______| |______| |______| |______| |______| ______ ______ ______ ______ ______ __||__ | | | | | | | | | | | | | 18 |=| 19 |=| 20 |=| 21 |=| 22 |=| 23 | |______| |______| |______| |______| |______| |______| __||__ ______ ______ __||__ ______ ______ | | | | | | | | | | | | | 17 |=| 16 |=| 15 |=| 14 |=| 13 |=| 12 | |______| |______| |______| |______| |______| |______| ______ ______ ______ ______ ______ __||__ | | | | | | | | | | | | | 06 |=| 07 |=| 08 |=| 09 |=| 10 |=| 11 | |______| |______| |______| |______| |______| |______| __||__ ______ ______ ______ ______ | | | | | | | | | | | 05 |=| 04 |=| 03 |=| 02 |=| 01 | |______| |______| |______| |______| |______| Hall 01: 1) 4x Horizontal puff to the left Hall 02: 1) Diagonal puff to the upper left 2) Horizontal puff to the left 3) 2x Diagonal puff to the lower left 4) Horizontal puff to the left Hall 03: 1) Blow out candle - A candle is a heat source, right? And a bubble is "typically" water. Water + Heat = Evaporation, ergo, burst bubble 2) Horizontal puff to the left 3) Diagonal puff to the upper left 4) 3x Horizontal puff to the left 5) Diagonal puff to the lower left 6) 2x Diagonal puff to the upper left 7) Horizontal puff to the left Hall 04: 1) Blow out candle 2) 3x Horizontal puff to the left 3) 2x Diagonal puff to the lower left 4) 2x Horizontal puff to the left Hall 05: 1) Blow into Megaphone-type thing on the right hand side - This turns off the fan on the other side, which of course, would blow the bubble STRONGLY to the left, and into the wall 2) 4x Horizontal puff to the left 3) 3x Vertical puff upwards Hall 06: You have a choice here, you can take the quick route, but that's a lot more dangerous, or the slower, safer route. Fast: 1) Tap Diagonal puff to the upper right 2) Tap Horizontal puff to the right 3) Tap Vertical puff downwards 4) Medium Horizontal puff to the right 5) Medium Diagonal puff to the upper right 6) Horizontal puff to the right 7) Diagonal puff to the upper right 8) Horizonal puff to the right Safe: 1) Diagonal puff to the upper left 2) Horizontal puff to the left 3) 2x Vertical puff upwards 4) 3x Horizontal puff to the right 5) Medium Horizontal puff to the right 6) Wait for the bar to be lowered 7) 2x Horizontal puff to the right 8) Diagonal puff to the lower right 9) Horizontal puff to the right Hall 07: 1) Horizontal puff to the right 2) Diagonal puff to the lower right 3) 2x Horizontal puff to the right 4) Diagonal puff to the upper right 5) Medium puff to the right 6) Wait for the electricity to go - Each burst lasts for about two seconds 7) 3x Horizontal puff to the right Hall 08: 1) Blow into the megaphone on the right - Ignore the box saying "ON" and "OFF", it makes no difference 2) Horizontal puff to the right 3) Diagonal puff to the lower right 4) 3x Horizontal puff to the right 5) Vertical puff upwards 6) Horizontal puff to the right 7) Diagonal puff to the lower right 8) Horizontal puff to the right Hall 09: Don't even bother trying to take the high road; it's way too difficult 1) Blow into the trumpet - This makes the snake lower its head; think Indian Snake Charmer 2) Medium Diagonal puff to the lower right 3) 3x Horizontal puff to the right 4) Diagonal puff to the upper right 5) 4x Horizontal puff to the right Hall 10: Fast: 1) Diagonal puff to the lower right 2) 7x Horizontal puff to the right - You cannot scrape the underside of the pointy bit, but you can safely have a pixel overlap with the straight board running to the exit, so start your horizontal puffs when the right edge of the bubble is level with the middle of the second star barb on the floor Slow: 1) Diagonal puff to the upper right 2) 5x Horizontal puff to the right 3) Diagonal puff to the lower right 4) Vertical puff downwards 5) Horizontal puff to the right Hall 11: This is the first of the nasty levels 1) 5x Horizontal puff to the right 2) Diagonal puff to the upper right 3) Diagonal puff to the upper left 4) Medium Horizontal puff to the left 5) Diagonal puff to the upper left 6) Diagonal puff to the lower left 7) Diagonal puff to the upper left 8) Vertical puff upwards Hall 12: 1) Medium Diagonal puff to the upper right 2) 3x Horizontal puff to the right 3) Vertical puff upwards 4) Horizontal puff to the left 5) Medium Horizontal puff to the left 6) Wait for the bar to retract 7) 3x Horizontal puff to the left 8) 2x Diagonal puff to the lower left 9) Horizontal puff to the left Hall 13: 1) Blow into the elephants ear - This is optional, it makes no difference, but gets you more points; it does not affect the actual play of the level itself - Some kinda Dumbo fetish going on here methinks ^^ 2) Wait for the CA sign to reach its peak 3) Medium Diagonal puff to the lower left 4) Medium Horizontal puff to the left 5) Diagonal puff to the upper left 6) Vertical puff upwards 7) 3x Horizontal puff to the left 8) 2x Diagonal puff to the lower left 9) 2x Horizontal puff to the left Hall 14: The first shortcut is here, which takes you to Hall 21 Normal: 1) Blow the TV Antenna - Again, this is optional 2) 8x Horizontal puff to the left - By the time you get back from the TV, the first bar should have just disappeared and by the time you get there, the second bar should have disappeared as well Shortcut: 1) Blow the TV Antenna 2) 2x Horizontal puff to the left 3) Tap Horizontal puff to the left 4) 4x Vertical puff upwards - Your timing on this needs to be perfect, you have about three animation frames to get through the gap between the stars Hall 15: 1) Diagonal puff to the upper left 2) Medium Horizontal puff to the left 3) 3x Diagonal puff to the lower left 4) Medium Horizontal puff to the left 5) 2x Diagonal puff to the upper left 6) 2x Horizontal puff to the left Hall 16: 1) Blow the spider - This breaks its web, clearing the path for the bubble 2) 6x Horizontal puff to the left 3) Diagonal puff to the lower left 4) 2x Horizontal puff to the left Hall 17: 1) Medium Diagonal puff to the lower left 2) Medium Horizontal puff to the left - Time this puff so that you do it when the top pixel of the bubble is on the same line as the lowest part of the ceiling in the lower passageway 3) Wait for the bar to disappear 4) 4x Horizontal puff to the right - If you followed the note in 2, the bubble cannot be touched by the retracting block 5) Medium Vertical puff upwards 6) 3x Diagonal puff to the upper right Hall 18: This is the half way point in the game, as denoted by it saying "Half Way" in the background. Man, I'm such a genius. 1) Tap Horizontal puff to the right - A Diagonal puff will burst the bubble, trust me on this 2) 2x Diagonal puff to the upper right 3) 3x Horizontal puff to the left - Time the first puff right so that there's a pixel overlap for the bubbles top and the ceilings bottom, and the retracting bar won't touch it Hall 19: 1) Blow the whistle - You must blow from the right of it - This will remove a segment of wall, clearing a path 2) Tap Diagonal puff to the lower right 3) 2x Horizontal puff to the right 4) Diagonal puff to the upper right 5) Tap Vertical puff upwards 6) Horizontal puff to the right 7) Medium Diagonal puff to the lower right 8) Horizontal puff to the right Hall 20: 1) Tap Diagonal puff to the upper right 2) Tap Horizontal puff to the left 3) Wait for the lower prong to start retracting 4) Horizontal puff to the right 5) Medium Diagonal puff to the lower right 6) 2x Medium Horizontal puff to the right - Provided your timing is right on the first puff, and you get the second one in fast enough, you should squeeze through 7) Tap Diagonal puff to the upper right 8) 2x Horizontal puff to the right Hall 21: This is where the first shortcut leads to Normal: 1) Horizontal puff to the right 2) Diagonal puff to the upper right 3) 2x Horizontal puff to the right 4) Diagonal puff to the lower right 5) 3x Horizontal puff to the right Shortcut: 1) 3x Vertical puff upwards 2) Horizontal puff to the right 3) Diagonal puff to the lower right 4) 3x Horizontal puff to the right Hall 22: 1) Tap Horizontal puff to the right 2) Diagonal puff to the lower right 3) 4x Horizontal puff to the right 4) Diagonal puff to the upper right 5) 2x Horizontal puff to the right Hall 23: 1) Blow the TV Antenna - This is optional 2) Vertical puff downwards 3) Horizontal puff to the right 4) Tap Diagonal puff to the upper right 5) Horizontal puff to the right 6) Wait for the bar to disappear 7) 3x Vertical puff upwards Hall 24: This is a downright nasty level 1) Medium Diagonal puff to the upper right 2) Horizontal puff to the right 3) Vertical puff upwards 4) 2x Horizontal puff to the left 5) Tap Diagonal puff to the upper left 6) Tap Horizontal puff to the left 7) Diagonal puff to the lower left 8) Veritcal puff downwards 9) Horizontal puff to the left 10) Vertical puff upwards 11) 2x Horizontal puff to the left Hall 25: I find the lower route is a lot easier, but also faster High: 1) Medium Diagonal puff to the upper left 2) Wait for the first bar to disappear 3) Horizontal puff to the left 4) Wait for the second bar to disappear 5) Tap Horizontal puff to the left 6) Wait for the third bar to disappear 7) Tap Horizontal puff to the left 8) Wait for the fourth bar to disappear 9) Tap Horizontal puff to the left 10) Wait for the fifth bar to disappear 11) Tap Horizontal puff to the left 12) Tap Diagonal puff to the lower left 13) Tap Vertical puff downwards 14) Horizontal puff to the left Low: 1) Tap Vertical puff downwards 2) Wait for the first bar to disappear 3) 2x Horizontal puff to the left 4) Wait for the second bar to disappear 5) Horizontal puff to the left 6) Tap Horizontal puff to the left 7) Wait for the third bar to disappear 8) Horizontal puff to the left 9) Diagonal puff to the upper left 10) 2x Horizontal puff to the left Hall 26: This is by far the toughest level so far 1) 2x Medium Horizontal puff to the left 2) Tap Vertical puff upwards 3) Let the bubble settle into place 4) Tap Vertical puff downwards 5) Quickly move into the ledge - Move so you're right on the end of it 6) Tap Diagonal puff to the lower right 7) Move slightly to the left and down a bit - So that the ledge is sticking out through you 8) Medium Vertical puff downwards - At this point, it's hard to tell exactly where the bubble will end up for each person playing this; we'd have to be very precise to always push the bubble into the same place. For instance, sometimes with the vertical puff, the bubble goes straight down, and others, it gets pushed by the fan to the left WHILE still going down. I'll assume yours went straight down since that's the one I can replicate the most often 9) Horizontal puff to the left 10) Vertical puff upwards 11) 2x Horizontal puff to the left Hall 27: Here is the second shortcut, which takes you to Hall 32 Normal: 1) Vertical puff downwards 2) 6x Horizontal puff to the left 3) Tap Diagonal puff to the upper left 4) Horizontal puff to the left Shortcut: 1) Vertical puff downwards 2) Horizontal puff to the left 3) Tap Horizontal puff to the left 4) Wait for the bar blocking the shortcut to APPEAR and the star to begin shrinking 5) 2x Medium Diagonal puff to the upper left 6) 3x Vertical puff upwards Hall 28: This level looks a lot nastier than it actually is 1) Wait until the first pair of blades are all the way out 2) Tap Diagonal puff to the upper left 3) Vertical puff upwards 4) 2x Medium Horizontal puff to the left 5) Wait until the second pair of blades start retracting 6) 2x Vertical puff downwards 7) 2x Medium Horizontal puff to the left 8) Wait until the third pair of blades start retracting 9) 2x Vertical puff upwards 10) 2x Medium Horizontal puff to the left 11) Wait until the fourth pair of blades start retracting 12) 2x Vertical puff downwards 13) 2x Horizontal puff to the left Hall 29: 1) 2x Medium Horizontal puff to the left 2) Vertical puff upwards 3) Quickly move so that you are to the lower right of the second fan 4) Tap Horizontal puff to the left - Hopefully the bubble won't overshoot the opening 5) Vertical puff upwards 6) Quickly move so that you are right above the opening 7) 2x Horizontal puff to the left 8) Vertical puff upwards Hall 30: Safe: 1) Tap Diagonal puff to the upper right 2) Tap Horizontal puff to the right 3) Wait for the first bar to disappear 4) Horizontal puff to the right 5) Wait for the second bar to disappear 6) 2x Horizontal puff to the right 7) Tap Vertical puff upwards 8) 3x Horizontal puff to the left 9) Tap Vertical puff upwards 10) Tap Horizontal puff to the right 11) Wait for the third bar to disappear 12) Horizontal puff to the right 13) Wait for the fourth bar to disappear 14) 4x Horizontal puff to the right Fast: 1) Tap Diagonal puff to the upper right 2) Tap Horizontal puff to the right 3) Wait for the first bar to disappear 4) Horizontal puff to the right 5) Wait for the second bar to disappear 6) 2x Horizontal puff to the right 7) Tap Diagonal puff to the upper right 8) Horizontal puff to the right - Time this puff so that it's when the bubble is nearly level with the underside of where the top prong comes out of 9) Vertical puff upwards 10) Horizontal puff to the right Hall 31: Bet you wish you took that shortcut now, don't you? XD Actually, this is easier than it looks 1) 5x Horizontal puff to the right 2) Tap Diagonal puff to the lower right 3) Medium Vertical puff downwards 4) Medium Horizontal puff to the right 5) Tap Diagonal puff to the lower right 6) Horizontal puff to the right Hall 32: This is where the second shortcut leads to. Also, don't take the upper path, it's actually harder than the lower one Normal: 1) Tap Diagonal puff to the upper right 2) 2x Tap Horizontal puff to the right 3) 4x Horizontal puff to the right 4) Tap Diagonal puff to the upper right 5) Horizontal puff to the right Shortcut: 1) Vertical puff upwards 2) Medium Horizontal puff to the right 3) Pause for about half a second 4) 2x Horizontal puff to the right 5) Tap Diagonal puff to the upper right 6) 2x Horizontal puff to the right Hall 33: 1) Horizontal puff to the right 2) Tap Vertical puff downwards 3) 2x Horizontal puff to the right 4) Wait for the second bar to disappear 5) Vertical puff upwards 6) 2x Horizontal puff to the right 7) Tap Diagonal puff to the lower right 8) 2x Horizontal puff to the right Hall 34: Your timings need to be near the end of the puff's strength, i.e. when the bubble has almost stopped moving, for the third and fourth moves 1) Medium Horizontal puff to the right 2) Tap Diagonal puff to the lower right 3) Tap Diagonal puff to the upper right 4) Tap Diagonal puff to the lower right 5) Horizontal puff to the right 6) Tap Diagonal puff to the upper right 7) 3x Horizontal puff to the right Hall 35: The final level! 1) Diagonal puff to the upper right 2) 2x Horizontal puff to the right 3) Diagonal puff to the lower right 4) Vertical puff downwards 5) 2x Horizontal puff to the right 6) The End! / =============================== \ < [06] FAQ > \ =============================== / ==Q. Why on earth is the Ghost blowing the bubble about?====================== A. Well, this answer is completely pulled out of my arse, but it's quite cool in a stupid way. See, I figure the ghost is really, REALLY stupid. It sees the bubble, and thinks it's a baby ghost that hasn't learnt how to go through walls. "I know!" the ghost thinks, I'll guide the bubble outside so it can go to Heaven! And that's why, in the ending sequence, you see them go floating off up into the sky. ... I told you it was stupid, didn't I? XD Y'know though, it's a shame you don't get to see the ghost's reaction once they get too high and the bubble just bursts. That'd be hilarious XD / =============================== \ < [07] Thanks > \ =============================== / This list is gonna be pretty short methinks =P DJellybean - for clueing me in for the basics of FAQ presentation.
