This one covers the GameBoy game known as Volley Fire. This game, in a way, puts a nice spin on the famous arcade game called Galaga. Have you ever imagined what it would be like to *fight* against another person in it? This game definitely met my wishes in that way. ^_^ An amazing game... ... Well, actually, that pretty much ends another crappy introduction. Here is an FAQ for you. Enjoy. =~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~= Section Two: Version History **FIRE!_2** =~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~= Final - First and likely only version of this FAQ completed. 11:14 PM 12/3/2012 =~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~= Section Three: Legalities **FIRE!_3** =~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~= This FAQ may not be reproduced under any circumstances except for personal, private use. They will widen/narrow the screen, respectively. Otherwise, N/A. ---------------- Playing the Game ---------------- At the main screen, you can opt to either go for a one-player or two-player game. The latter of these two options will require you to use a GameBoy Link Cable. Each match works quite similarly to the levels in one-player. One-player mode basically is a linear progression through the game. You'll receive a world map, which basically lets you know how far from the end you are. There is no real other purpose I know of. You'll spend most of your time in the levels. There are going to be, in general, two ships. The bottom one is yours, the top one is that of the enemy. Your goal is to use your weaponry (A/B Buttons) to hit him before he kills you in doing the same. To make it harder, there can be random crap between your ships. Generally, this consists of asteroids that just block shots and do little more. Sometimes, there will also be mirrors, which can reflect shots, so look out for them. You can also have other ships, which are on neither side, fly by. Shoot them down to sometimes get a shield ("S") power-up, which temporarily makes you invulnerable. Other than that, it's pretty basic. You have three lives to use throughout the whole game, although you can continue from the level you lost on if you lose. You and your opponent's health bars are at the right side of the screen. There, you can also tell you'll need to kill your opponent three times to finish the level. There are two main ways of doing so. The obvious one is just to randomly try and shoot them down. Remember, your missiles and his missiles, if they hit, will cancel each other out - this can also be used for defense. The other way requires some mirrors nearby and some patience, but the enemy will eventually kill himself due to the mirrors, so you'll just need to dodge and not shoot on those levels. That's how simple this game is. Once you kill the opponent three times, you can go to the next level to repeat again and again.
