The first one is stationary and the next five all move slowly across your screen. You shoot at the targets with the power bar. The cursor will start at position 1 and move in the direction of seven, wherever you stop it the first time is the distance that the ball will the thrown. Once you stop it, the place will be marked with a stationary cursor while the original heads back towards position one. The area between 1 and 3 is how far left or right you want to aim on the target. 2 is almost always the desired position. The number is directly on the line, not the space in-between them. There are four possible things to hit; bulls eye, the second innermost ring (well done), the outer most ring (good throw), or miss completely, which never gets you any points. Target One Ideal power bar location: 3,2 Points for Bulls eye: 4 Points for Well done: 3 Points for Good Throw: 2 Target Two Ideal power bar location: 4,2 Points for Bulls eye: 8 Points for Well done: 6 Points for Good Throw: 4 Target Three Ideal power bar location: 4,2 Points for Bulls eye: 8 Points for Well done: 6 Points for Good Throw: 4 Target Four Ideal power bar location: 5,2 Points for Bulls eye: 12 Points for Well done: 9 Points for Good Throw: 6 Target Five Ideal power bar location: 5,2 Points for Bulls eye: 12 Points for Well done: 9 Points for Good Throw: 6 Target Six Ideal power bar location: 6,2 Points for Bulls eye: 20 Points for Well done: 15 Points for Good Throw: 10 After everyone has had their rounds, the two highest scorers will participate in a playoff. The target will be the same as Target two. The first person to score higher than the other in the playoff will win the event. Event Prize: $17,500 ############################################################################### Speed and Mobility This event is rather straight forward. Press the B button the duck, jump, or anything else needed to dodge things. You will start the event, press right and head towards the pole, when you're very close to it duck underneath and run above the cone and head towards the bottom of the screen. Dodge the card board cut out defender by going below him, but stay as close as you can without touching it. The further away you go the more time you'll add up. Hurdle the wire with the B button and head towards the striped part of the field. You'll see a miniature two section power bar move. Use the a button the throw the ball when the cursor is in the middle. Your QB will throw the ball at the target! Penalties: -Not Ducking under the bar: 1 second -Not running above the cone: 1 second -Running into the cone: .05 seconds per run in -Running into the defender: .05 seconds per run in -Running around the wrong side of the defender: 1 second -Not jumping the wire: 1 second Bonus!: A bulls eye on the target: 1 second deduction Anywhere else on the target: 1/2 second deduction The player with the fastest time will win the event. Event Prize: $20,000 ############################################################################### Distance Challenge There will be a modified power bar again. Hit A and B alternately as fast as you can to power it up. Wherever the cursor ends when the moving | hits the end of the screen is how far you will throw the ball. No points are awarded for any distance under fifty. Beyond fifty, two points are awarded per yard. So if you throw a Distance of 73, you'll get 46 points (73-50 = 23; 23*2=46). A distance of about 80 is usually enough to win the event. Event Prize: $22,000 ############################################################################### Read and Recognition Similar to the accuracy challenge, read and recognition uses targets. Unlike the accuracy challenge, four of them scroll across the screen at a time. You will have the same power bar as the first event too. The proper power bar locations to hit the targets are 3,2; 4,2; 5,2; 6;2. Don't get too excited yet. Only two of the four targets per wave are for you to toss at. The two will be signified by the fact that they will blink all the way across the field. If you hit the blinking targets, you get points. If you hit a target that is not blinking, you lose those points. Here are the point values of the targets at their respective locations. Location 3,2: Bulls eye: 12 Well Done: 9 Good Throw: 6 Location 4,2: Bulls eye: 24 Well Done: 18 Good Throw: 12 Location 5,2: Bulls eye: 36 Well Done: 27 Good Throw: 18 Location 6,2: Bulls eye: 60 Well Done: 45 Good Throw: 30 The top two scorers will have a playoff with a sole moving target at location 3,2. Event Prize: $30,000 ############################################################################### The points from all the events will be added up, the player with the most total points will win! Thanks for playing! ******************************************************************************* vi) Credits ******************************************************************************* CJayC = the founder of GameFAQs for hosting this guide. ---------------------------- Copyright 2003, SineNomine |
