Play Modes "Flat on the mat!" In Super Brawl, you can play in several different modes. You can play at three different difficulty levels (TV, United States, and World; TV is easiest) and you can set different victory conditions for your matches. You can make it a one-fall match, where the first man to get pinned for a three count, stay out of the ring for a ten count, or get locked in a submission for a ten count (Huh?) loses. You can also set it for three falls, which is the same thing as one fall except it's a best 3 out of 5 type thing. Or, you could have it set to 3, 5, 10, or 15 minutes. Basically, whoever gets the most falls within thetime limit wins. (Sort of like a shorter version of a WWF/E Iron Man match.) You can also choose whether you want out-of-the-ring countouts to occur or not. In the one-player mode, you can play three types of event; a single match (One on one or tag team), a tournament (also one on one or tag team), or the Ultimate Challenge! (Dramatic evil scary music) The single match is what it sounds like; a single match. You pick your character or two, the computer picks its guy(s) and you fight, that simple. Tournament is an 8-man (or 4-team if you pick tag team mode) tourney. You pick your guy(s), the computer fills out the brackets, and you must win to advance. The Ultimate Challenge (Ominous musical chord) is a singles mode. You pick a wrestler, then fight every other wrestler, one at a time. Once again, win to advance. The two-player mode is basically like the one player single match, except it's, well, two-player. ********************************************* V. Real Name: Dustin Rhodes Height: 6' 5" Weight: 265 lbs. Profile (from the game): "Combining the knowledge from his father, Dusty Rhodes, with his own skills and moves he has become a prominent competitor in WCW." Finisher: Bulldog (B & Y in front of standing opponent) Dustin grabs his target in a headlock, runs forward a bit, and then drops him, busting up the opponent's face. *Vader* "You want Vader?" Real Name: Leon White (And you can see why he uses Vader when wrestling...) Height: 6' 5" Weight: 448 lbs. Profile (from the game): "Opponents tremble for their lives when Vader steps into the ring with his crippling Powerbomb. In the words of the big man himself, the name of the game is PAIN!" Finisher: Power Bomb (B & Y in front of standing opponent) Vader scoops his opponent up like a tombstone, then runs across the ring and falls on him, pinning him. (Note: this is actually a running powerslam, not a powerbomb.) *Rick Rude* "The sexiest man alive." Real Name: Richard Rood Height: 6' 3" Weight: 252 lbs. Profile (from the game): "His awesome wrestling maneuvers and devastating Rude Awakening bring opponents to their knees." Finisher: Rude Awakening (B & Y in front of standing opponent) Rude grabs the poor opponent's head, turns around, and falls down with his arm wrapped around opponent's chin. *Ric Flair* "Whooooo!" Real Name: Richard Morgan Fliehr Height: 6' 1" Weight: 245 lbs. Profile (from the game): "Flair's knee drop and figure four leg lock are feared by his opponents. He has held nearly every title in professional wrestling and says, to be the man, you have to beat the man!" Finisher: Figure Four (B & Y in front of standing opponent) Ric punches the guy to knock him down, then clamps on the unique lock. WHOO! *Johnny B. Badd* "I'm BAD!" Real Name: Marc Mero Height: 6' 1" Weight: 245 lbs. Profile (from the game): "A former U.S. Boxing Team member and five-time state boxing champion, Johnny says 'Keep your mind and body clean, and always strive to be the best you can be!'" Finisher: Tutti Frutti Left Hook (B & Y in front of standing opponent) Johnny....uh....punches the opponent. That's the whole move. Johnny B. Badd sucks. *Rick Steiner* "It's not my fault." Real Name: Rick Steiner Height: 5' 11" Weight: 255 lbs. Profile (from the game): "The 'Dogface Gremlin' has a nasty pit-bull like attitude, which makes this tough compact bruiser one of the fiercest and most brutal wrestlers around." Finisher: Steiner Line (B & Y in front of standing opponent) The DFG launches himself at his opponent and tackles him to the mat. (This looks a little like a spear, but the SNES graphics make it hard to tell. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt.) *Sting* "OOOOOWWWWWWW!" Real Name: Steve Borden Height: 6' 3" Weight: 262 lbs. Profile (from the game): "In the prime of his career, Sting spends most of his time weight training, body surfing, boating, water skiing, and getting out in the sun. His motto: 'We're having fun now!'" Finisher: Scorpion Death Lock (B & Y in front of standing opponent) Sting hits a jumping clothesline, then grabs the opponent's legs and forms sort of an "X"with them. (This move, specifically the leg-hold part, is also known as the Sharpshooter.) *Brian Pillman* "A thirst for high impact!" Real Name: Brian Pillman (?) Height: 6' 0" Weight: 226 lbs. Profile (from the game): "This college football All-American startles and dismays opponentswith his aerial maneuvers, and startles and dismays fans with his 'attitude'." Finisher: Flying Sunset Flip (B & Y from the top rope on a standing opponent) Brian jumps off the top, tackles his opponent, and flips through to pin him. (PS: Good Lord is this move hard to hit!) *Scott Steiner* "Comin' to get YOU!" Real Name: Scott Steiner Height: 6' 1" Weight: 255 lbs. Profile (from the game): "A former All American college wrestler, this athlete combines histremendous strength with amazing agility to make himself an awesome force in wrestling." Finisher: Frankensteiner (B & Y in front of standing opponent) Scott jumps up into a sitting position with his legs around his opponent's head, then flips backwards in a VERY impressive move, dropping his poor target to the mat. *Ron Simmons* "Show me respect." Real Name: Ron Simmons Height: 6' 1" Weight: 285 lbs. Profile (from the game): "On August 2, 1992, Simmons pinned the 448-pound Vader to become the first African-American to wear the coveted WCW World Heavyweight Championship Belt." Finisher: Power Slam (B & Y in front of standing opponent) Ron lifts his opponent up in a tombstone position, then charges forward and falls, landing on him, but not pinning him. (A lot like Vader's finisher without the pin.) *Ricky Steamboat* "Who deserves the belt?" Real Name: ? Height: 6' 2" Weight: 232 lbs. Profile (from the game): "He works martial arts magic every time he steps into the ring. Ricky has mastered the power behind the mysteries of the Orient. 'Take full advantage of educating yourself and success will be evident." Finisher: Flying Body Press (B & Y from the top rope on a standing opponent) Ricky leaps off the top, and hits his opponent horizontally, knocking the opponent down into a pin. *Barry Windham* "Invincible!" Real Name: Barry Windham Height: 6' 6" Weight: 278 lbs. Profile (from the game): "Although a classic scientific wrestler, this Harley Davidson rider'sruthlessness has seen many broken alliances on his way to the top." Finisher: Superplex (B & Y in front of standing opponent) Barry lifts his opponent up, waits a second, then delivers a vertical suplex. (This is most definitely NOT a superplex.
