      INTRODUCTION

VROOM! VROOM! VROOM! Start your engines racers as you drive across a stretch of
road called the Drag Strip to be the first to reach the finish line in a game
of Drag Racing. No, I'm not talking about dressing up like the opposite sex and
racing a mall road. I'm refering to the type of racing that landed Nick Hogan,
son of Hulk Hogan, in hot water and his buddy being brain damaged. In this case,
you are not racing modified cars on a public road but you are using racing cars
to speed down one straight stretch of road. There is a Youtube vid that shows a
demo of the game but it's not easy as it looks. Read on for more info.

       CONTROLS

Before the race:

Twist Left or Right (Button 4 or 3): Rev up the engine
Diagonal direction: Hit the Gas to start.
Pull up (Button 2): new race

During the race:

Diagonal direction to shift
Twist Left or Right for speed

When you start the game, a G? appears

1 - family sedan
2 - modified sedan
3 - funny car
4 - dragster

The higher the number the faster the car goes and the more different the
shifting torque values are.

M? Then appears

1 - practice game to learn how to shift
2 - cars will not stall after starting lights gone
3 - same as 2
4 - cars will stall after starting lights are gone.

S? Appears

1 - no sound
2 - sound
3 - sound
4 - sound

Shifting works like this

    N

2       4

When it is time to shift, move direction to the next number in sequence. If you
shift out of sequence, the car looses RPM. Downshift to regain it.

Extra Notes:

-Drag Race is strictly a 2-player game.

-Rev up your engines by Twisting Left or Right, then tilt the joystick in a
 diagonal direction to get moving.

-Do not start early or you will be disqualified for false starting. The word
 RED LIGHT will appear on the offending racers side.

-Watch your engine meter, if it touches the green square then your engine blows
 and you are out of the race. The word BLOWN appears.

-To be the true winner, you must cross the finish line first in under 25.5 or
 it will be ruled OT. You will still be the winner but if both racers cross the
 line after 25.5, they are both OT and both declared the winner.

-To make your car go faster, you have to know when to shift gears. This is very
 crucial as it determines the difference between winning or losing the race and
 also has the risk of blowing your engine.
